
Meet Michael
Michael currently runs the Adelphi University Interfaith Center and Mindfulness Center. He received his Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and was the founder and Executive Director of the non-profit Community Growth Center. Michael is a retreat leader, author and spiritual teacher counselor and mentor. Michael practices within the Christian and Buddhist traditions and is a member of the Plum Village Order of Interbeing.
Michael weaves together his wisdom as a Contemplative Christian, practitioner of engaged Buddhism and Mindfulness and student of Thich Nhat Hanh and his personal experiences with over 15 years in recovery from addiction to help guide people to healing, growth and transformation.
The focus of Michael’s work centers on peace and healing, justice and belonging.
